With just over a week before testing and qualification prior to the second 24 hour race for the Citroen C1 series of endurance races, the Bastards are waiting eagerly for their debut. The team entry consists of Lowe, Lewis, Cox, Bucknell and Patterson with Lewis and Patterson racing for the first time within the series this year. Lewis, co-owner of the car comments:
"The last time I raced competitively was in 2014 within the Caterham SuperSport series and that was at Rockingham too. Unfortunately I have been unable to enter any C1 races this year and am excited to get behind the wheel again in competition. Akin with fellow Bastards, this will be our first ever 24 hour race and we look forward to hone our experience for the Spa-Francorchamps 24 hour in October."

Their car, #MissFire has been receiving some TLC subsequent to her Snetterton outing. She now boasts a new manicure including spots for the nighttime sessions within the forthcoming 24 hour races, new steering wheel for faster driver changes, drinks system for driver rehydration and other upgrades for driver comfort.
Testing
Lowe and Patterson have been in dialogue in respect of testing. With Lowe, Cox and Bucknell having many hours behind the wheel in both testing and competition this year, testing will be primarily for Lewis and Patterson. Patterson has been observing long range weather forecasts and says:
"We do need to get some wet running in the car and Rockingham will be ideal. It’s bound to rain at Spa. The nightmare scenario will be trying to learn how the car works, around a whole wet lap at 3.00am in the dark if it suddenly starts pissing doon!"

Running Order
Still to be confirmed with Team SPY at a final strategy meeting, the initial running order is that Lewis will start the race, followed by Patterson, Lowe, Cox and then Bucknell. As Lewis seems to be enjoying himself on his family holiday in his new tent, Lowe has nominated him to camp overnight at the circuit, making himself available as emergency backup driver throughout the night as the other drivers take the cosy option of the local Hampton Inn. Lewis says:
"Bastards! The lot of them!
