Entering a car into the 2018 Citroen C1 race series was his idea. We can therefore title him Chief Bastard. At his BBQ in 2017 he and Mark Lewis agreed to buy a car and have it race prepared for the series. Mat has races in the Caterham Academy and Caterham RoadSport series.

Outside of racing, you’ll find him at the horses. Probably grasping a jug of fine ale or Pimms.
